What exactly is a linear drain?

Linear drain is used to effectively drain water from under the shower in use. Its structure is not complicated, as it consists of a special channel built into the floor together with a siphon, and the whole installation is covered by a modern grille. It is a strip or a grate. However, it is important that in such a place there is a slope in the floor so that water can flow through the grating into the channel, from where it flows directly into the linear drain.

Today's market is very extensive, so interested customers can invest in curved, corner or straight drains. Their channels are installed right next to the wall, although there are also solutions that allow the householder to freely install them in the middle of the shower area. You can easily match the grille to the style of your own bathroom. You can find grilles in ceramic, glass or metal versions. Nothing stands in the way of buying products that are made of plastic.
